Please see below the message below from Fernando about a new reading group
on on high-dimensional expanders this quarter. Today will be the second
talk on high-dimensional expanders (notes from the previous talk are
attached). Please let Fernando or me know if you'd like to be added to the
mailing lis for the reading group. I'll also be happy to catch you up about
the discussion in the previous meeting if you'd like to join today.

Hi all,


We are running a reading group on the emerging topic

of high-dimensional expanders and its connections to

expanders graphs and TCS. The first messages were sent

mainly to students, but everyone is welcome.  The structure

of the reading group and some suggested papers is in

the attached document (hdx_group.pdf).


The meetings take place on Thursdays at 4:00pm in room

526 of TTIC. Today is our third meeting and our second about

HDXs. We will continue the presentation of the "agreement

expansion" paper of Dinur and Kaufman (see attached documents).


A preliminary version of the notes of our second session which

contains a definition of a notion of high-dimensional expansion

is also in attachment (agreement_expansion_part1.pdf).


In case you are interested, please let me know and I will include

you in our mailing list.
