Hi everyone,

As many of you know, I have been developing Haizea as part of my PhD
dissertation work. I am happy to announce that I successfully defended
my dissertation last July, and will have a PhD as of this Friday :-) You
can download my dissertation here:

	http://people.cs.uchicago.edu/~borja/dissertation/

The text itself includes an appendix with detailed instructions on how
to reproduce all the results in the dissertation using Haizea. This may
be of use to those of you who are interested in running simulations with
Haizea, as these instructions can give you a good starting point for
setting up your own experiments. All the scripts I used, along with all
the experimental data I produced in my own run of the experiments, is
also available at the above URL.

In case you're wondering, even though my dissertation is over,
development of Haizea is going to continue for the foreseeable future.
I'm aiming for a 1.2 release sometime in the fall, incorporating the
more recent stuff I developed for my dissertation (including lease
pricing and deadline scheduling), and the work our Summer of Code
student, Enrique Alvarez, has been doing to improve the integration
between Haizea and OpenNebula.

Cheers!
