*Title: *Quantum low-density parity-check codes with transversal
implementation of non-Clifford logical operations
*Speaker: *Han Zheng (UChicago)
*Abstract: *There have been many recent advances towards fault-tolerant
implementation of logical operations using quantum error-correcting codes
and quantum low-density parity-check (qLDPC) codes. Central towards
universal fault-tolerant implementation is the capability for quantum
error-correcting codes supporting transversal realization of logical
non-Clifford gates.
In this talk, we first give a brief survey on the recent progresses on this
direction. On the second part, we construct various families of
tri-orthogonal quantum low-density parity-check (qLDPC) codes. As direct
consequences of tri-orthogonality, this family code supports transversal
implementation of logical non-Clifford gates. We discuss the implication on
the magic distillation overhead using this class of codes.
