Hi everyone,
The OpenNebula project will be applying this year to be a mentoring
organization in Google Summer of Code, a program that offers student
developers stipends to write code for various open source projects (more
details at http://code.google.com/soc/).
As part of the project ideas proposed for OpenNebula's participation,
I've proposed a couple of projects related to Haizea. You can find more
details here:
http://trac.opennebula.org/wiki/GoogleSummerofCode_Ideas
[The list of project ideas is one of the biggest requirements when
applying to be a part of Summer of Code]
If you have ideas for other cool summer projects involving Haizea,
please don't hesitate to describe your idea on this mailing list, and
we'll add it to the list. Students working on Haizea projects will have
a chance to learn about resource management with VMs, scheduling
algorithms, cloud computing, etc. over the summer.
However, please note that OpenNebula is *applying* to be a mentoring
organization and there is no guarantee it will be selected. The list of
selected organizations will be published on March 18th.
Cheers!
