Join us October 26th for an informational session on the new undergraduate
data science major

at the University of Chicago. Hear from faculty leadership about the vision
for data science education at the University of Chicago, the courses and
requirements for the major, and details about the Data Science Clinic, a
new experiential course where students work with government, non-profit and
industry partners on projects using data science approaches in real world
situations with immediate, substantial impact.

This event will take place both in person at the John Crerar Library
building, Room 390, and online via Zoom. Please register

*This convening is open to all invitees who are compliant with UChicago
vaccination requirements and, because of ongoing health risks, particularly
to the unvaccinated, participants are expected to adopt the risk mitigation
measures (masking and social distancing, etc.) appropriate to their
vaccination status as advised by public health officials or to their
individual vulnerabilities as advised by a medical professional. Public
convening may not be safe for all and carries a risk for contracting
COVID-19, particularly for those unvaccinated. Participants will not know
