Anyways, the problem I had earlier has been solved. It was due to the /usr/ports collection in freebsd installing everything to /usr/local (lib and include) so I basically just had to copy that stuff into /usr/lib and /usr/include (and overwrite some versions I downloaded from the web which apparently had different function definitions and what not...). I'll still have a major bug that causes kernel panics after the module is removed...the good thing is that once the module is hidden i'm not sure you can remove it anyways without a reboot, so it shouldn't ever crash. Regardless of this good news, I still eventually want to figure the bug out, but right now I just want to get something out to the honeynet people to test, which should be very soon. I guess that's all for now. See you guys in class. We're already way behind way schedule with the ui-reviews unfortunately :/ But if you're willing to take some screenshots of the windows/menus/dialogs you want reviewed and post them somewhere, that might increase your chances, as the people who attend don't necessarily have the latest and greatest installed. Or, in my case, they don't have room to install AbiWord anyway :) Cheeri, Calum. -- CALUM BENSON, Usability Engineer Sun Microsystems Ireland mailto:calum.benson@sun.com GNOME Desktop Group http://ie.sun.com +353 1 819 9771 Any opinions are personal and not necessarily those of Sun Microsystems From bsjohnso at midway.uchicago.edu Sun Dec 1 19:15:48 2002 From: bsjohnso at midway.uchicago.edu (Benjamin Johnson) Date: Thu May 18 12:41:35 2006 Subject: [Cs22800] Tomorrow's Class Message-ID: <3DEAB444.8000000@midway.uchicago.edu> I was planning on giving a demo tomorrow. I am not sure if that is possible for two reasons: the lack of freebsd machines and I still have some bugs to work out. I will show some screen shots and answer any questions people have. I could try X forwarding by my connection is ADSL with a fairly slow upload speed, so it is usually very slow when connecting to home from on campus. I will be sure to include some screen shots when I write up my report, and if I have time before class tomorrow, I'll try to come up with something. I have it hiding files and processes, I am back having a problem with reading from the device... Peace, Ben Benjamin Johnson wrote: > I was planning on giving a demo tomorrow.
