Interactive Visualization with iPython and Jupyter Notebook

The interactive interpreter of Python is limited for interactive use. The goal of iPython is to provide a powerful interactive Python shell with support for interactive data visualization. This hands-on workshop will teach you how to visualize and interact with your data. We will test several graphical user interfaces (GUIs) and learn about interaction with matplotlib. Documents containing live coding will be created by the use of the Jupyter notebook. Several interactive widgets examples will be created to manipulate and visualize data.

Level: This is an INTRODUCTORY level course, for people with little or no experience in the topic.

Prerequisites: Attendees are encouraged to bring a laptop to participate in the hands-on session.
