Title: Combinatorial Hodge Theory and Applications

Abstract:

Classical Hodge Theory is a milestone in connecting differential geometry
and algebraic topology. As graph Laplacian or 0-dimensional Laplacian plays
an important
role in geometric data analysis, higher order Hodge Laplacians are now
witnessing a new rise in applications, from computer vision, statistical
ranking, to game theory. In this talk
we will give a introduction to the applications of combinatorial Hodge
theory with a focus on ranking problem.
