GigaPan Epic Pro Demonstration

Abstract:
The GigaPan Epic Pro is a robotic camera mount used to automate the
process of photographing giga-pixel resolution panoramas using a wide
range of digital SLR cameras. Automated photography paired with
stitching software enables the creation of extemely high resolution
panoramas, many times the resolution of typical photographs, allowing
one to comb through visual data to discover before unseen detial and
information. The GigaPan Epic Pro camera mount simplifies the
difficult process of taking a large number of images with proper
alignment and overlap by automatically positioning and triggering your
digital camera.

On May 18, 2011, at 2:00p, Travis Saul will be giving a presentation
at Searle 240a demonstrating usage of the camera mount as well as
examples of stitching techniques and image uses.
