Dear all,
The University of Chicago has recently purchased a Cray XE6
supercomputer, named Beagle after Charles Darwin's ship (for more
information see http://beagle.ci.uchicago.edu/). In order to render
the utilization of this new resource as easy as possible, the
Computation Institute will be offering an introductory class about
Beagle in room 240a at the Searle building from 10 to 12:30 AM on
July 27th 2011 . In the spirit of providing computation as a service,
the class will assume very little knowledge about how to work on this
type of computer and no question will be considered too trivial or
basic to be addressed (that is, unless the trainer does not know the
answer). Please RSVP or make inquiries at beagle-support at uchicago.edu.
In principle, we can prepare specific introductory classes for
department or laboratories as well if people are interested.
Details about the training can be found at the URLs:

For the Beagle Team,
Lorenzo Pesce
P.S. Feel free to forward this message to any person or mail-list
potentially interested in this seminar. Thanks.
